Yellow Blazer: From Brunch To Dinner

Blazer: Wet Seal (similar)

So being that my favorite color this Spring/ Summer is yellow, I just HAD to show you guys how I wore this yellow blazer from brunch to dinner. A blazer can be used as a way to accessorize, like a scarf or a purse, it really ties an outfit together.

Brunch

Dress: Small Boutique (similar) / Shoes: Easy Pickins (similar) / Necklace: Gift (similar) / Ring: Forever21 & H&M (similar) / Watch: Michael Kors (shop item)

As you may have noticed, this outfit is a contrasts of colors. I feel that for the summertime it's not necessary to match, but to wear vibrant colors that compliment each other. Being that its hotter in the day then it is at night, I felt this lace dress was perfect for brunch. I love this outfit because all the colors are bold making each item focal points, yet the outfit is simple and looks well together. I wanted to keep my accessories, hair and makeup very simple to not overpower the outfit. I wore a pearl necklace that was a gift from my mommy with some pearl earrings. As for my hair and makeup, I did the crown braid with some curly fall outs, bronzed my face, and highlighted my cheek bones and voila!

Dinner

Necklace: Banana Republic (similar) / Top: H&M (shop item) / Boyfriend Jeans: Gap (similar) / Shoes: Shi Pumps (shop item) / Studded Wallet: Forever21 (Similar) / Watch: Michael Kors (shop item) /  Earrings: Avon (similar)

So of course I just had to wear my Shii pumps for this look, everyone that knows me knows how much I L-O-V-E pumps! I feel they are easier to walk in if you're not used to wearing heels for more than an hour. But asides me loving these pumps, I wore them for this dinner look because they match perfect with my Banana Republic necklace that was a gift from my grandmother some time ago. I know earlier I said it not necessary to match as long as the colors are vibrant, but that's where my yellow blazer comes in. You can wear boyfriend jeans and a plain white top with pretty much anything. But pairing them with this yellow blazer, necklace, and shoes really made everything stand out and tied everything together. To complete this outfit I used my black studded wallet as a clutch and some gold and black earrings. I kept my hair and makeup the same, but you go do something more fun by adding a bold lip color like red, and letting your hair down.
Which look you like best? :)
